A national freight operation running 120+ vehicles needed a centralized command interface that pulled live telemetry from Samsara and presented it in a dispatch-ready format, combining vehicle status, driver hours-of-service, compliance scoring, and geographic overlays into a single operational view. We built Samsara Command, a custom fleet operations dashboard with a live interactive map, a driver management drawer, load-to-driver matching suggestions, and real-time fleet analytics, all powered by the Samsara API through a secure AWS Lambda backend.

The operations team needed a unified view that combined live vehicle telemetry, driver compliance data, and dispatch context into one interface, rather than requiring dispatchers to navigate multiple Samsara screens and spreadsheets to make real-time routing and assignment decisions.
We designed and built Samsara Command, a custom React dashboard backed by an Express/AWS Lambda API layer that pulls live data from Samsara's fleet endpoints. The platform features a fleet analytics dashboard, an interactive Leaflet-powered map with multi-layer overlays, a driver management drawer with HOS and compliance visibility, and load-matching suggestions, all in a dark-themed, operations-focused UI built for extended use.
